I had a great new patient visit with the NP, Faiza. I explained exactly why I was there, and she wasted no time addressing every concern. Faiza immediately initiated my care beginning with labs same day. I'm very excited to be joining the practice and under such great care. Can't wait to meet Dr. E!

I had my first visit to The Healthy Women Primary Care with Dr. Barbara Joy Jones, DO, and Janice Sims, AGPCNP-BC, in March, and it was my first doctor’s appointment since before COVID. From the very beginning, both Dr. Jones and Janice made me feel supported and heard. They worked with me to set realistic health goals, and their guidance has truly been life-changing.
I’m thrilled to say that I have far surpassed my initial weight loss goal and am now at a weight I haven’t seen in decades. The care, encouragement, and expertise provided by this team made all the difference in my success.
For anyone considering this practice, I have two pieces of advice: 1) Book an appointment—Dr. Jones and Janice are truly exceptional, and 2) Commit to being compliant with their guidance; it’s worth it! Thanks to The Healthy Women Primary Care, I’m healthier and happier than ever. P.S THEY HAVE MALE PATIENTS

If I could leave no stars I would.
As soon as I walked in the smell of this place made me want to vomit.
The front desk girl was very polite and she was the only good thing about my time there. I sat for over 50 minutes for my first appointment and wasn't called until I stood up and asked what the issue was and why I had been waiting so long. As I ask for a refund of my copay the lady comes out to say my name and says the complete wrong name. This was very unprofessional and I was very disappointed. As a black woman I wanted to support a black business and also have my trust in a black doctor but I refuse to deal with attitudes and unprofessionalism from other staff. ALSO EVERY PERSON THAT CAME IN WITH ME WAITED OVER 45 MINS AND IT WAS THEIR FIRST TIME THERE! HOPEFULY THEIR LAST

I will never forget the passion in your eyes and the sincerity in your voice during my initial visit with you (and each visit thereafter). You pulled up your chair, sat next to me, took me by my hand and educated me in depth of my medical condition during my pregnancy in which I was oblivious to at the time (although it had been mentioned to me previously).
Thank you for “seeing” me and making each interaction personable.
Thank you for hearing me and always ensuring that you never left me with unaddressed questions or concerns.
Thank you for taking the ABSOLUTE BEST pre and postnatal care of me and my baby.
You’re an angel to myself and my family.

I had contacted the practice to obtain my medical documents, they refused to upload them without me coming into office.
20 days later, several phone calls and messages later, they decide to end my care at their facilty when I brought it to their attention that they are at poor communication. They listed the reason they ended care with me as I hadn't been seen in 30 days- even though they dated the letter incorrectly as well as emailed me, talked to me and confirmed 2 appointments just an hour prior to ending care. Take a look at their reviews outside of their site.

I don't appreciate having lab work done on 7.23.24 and never getting my results from the office. I finally called on 9.13.24 to have a call center have to call the office, and the call center gave me the results (so impersonal). I was told I wasn't called because the results were normal. In my opinion, that is still not a valid reason to not call me and inform me. I'm still having the pains, so now that I FINALLY have the results, I need to find out what i need to do next.

i didn’t think i would ever find a new obgyn until i found the healthy woman! i called in to schedule an appointment and the girl i spoke with a young lady Tei’ who was so attentive and helpful! I wasn’t sure what all i needed and she made sure i understood what i would be getting done at my appointment. I saw dr slaughter and she was absolutely beautiful and amazing!!! i have had really bad experiences with my previous care so its just a breath of fresh air knowing your someone where you will be well taken care ofmy appointment was super fast!

Dr. E as I often called her has been a God sent throughout my entire pregnancy. She created an atmosphere my husband and I felt empowered to voice our concerns, ask questions, and actively engage in discussions about my health and that of my baby. For this we want to thank you so much from the bottom of hearts for taking such good care of us during/after the pregnancy as well as the delivery!! Because of your professionalism and great smiles, we felt like we were in good hands and that gave us peace of mind towards the big day.

Dr. Slaughter is amazing! I am a new patient and the moment I stepped into the office, the receptionist was welcoming and professional. Before meeting with Dr. Slaughter, another young lady prepped me, and she was equally kind, friendly, and took good care of me. When Dr. Slaughter walked in, she introduced herself, asked a lot of questions to assess my needs and then followed up with a solution that I was comfortable with. Dr. Slaughter and her office are amazing.

I was thoroughly impressed with this practice from the moment I entered. The atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable and everyone was friendly. This treatment continued when my practitioner Melanie Jones attended to me with care and compassion. She carefully reviewed my files with me, asked thoughtful questions regarding my health and habits, and discussed several viable options that could address any health concerns I had. Her demeanor allowed me to be open and at ease. I trusted her immediately and felt that no issue was too small or large to discuss. I look forward to a long relationship with The Healthy Woman practice and Melanie. I have found a healthcare practice and practitioner I trust.
